What is a Certified Type 3A Driving Record
- Your complete driving history in Texas.
- All convictions, crashes, and violations, regardless of when they occurred.
- It is certified, meaning it is officially stamped and suitable for legal or court use.
Why is it required?
This type of driving record is typically required by Texas courts when you are:
- Requesting defensive driving to dismiss a ticket.
- Applying for certain jobs (especially those involving driving).
- Going through legal proceedings related to your driving history.

Why is my current course not listed?
Tickets that have not been adjudicated by the court will not be shown on your driving record. The court generally requests a driving record to show proof that you have not completed a driving safety course in the prior 12 months.
